9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out (Free 1-hour version)

This is the 1-hour version of our 1 ½ hour groundbreaking documentary 9/11: Explosive Evidence -- Experts Speak Out which is available for purchase as a DVD in our online store at http://www.AE911Truth.org or as a download or video-on-demand at http://www.911ExpertsSpeakOut.org .

Public Broadcasting Station, Colorado Public Television (cpt12.org), have courageously thrust themselves at the forefront of our nation's public service media network. CPT12 recently aired this powerful and controversial film as a featured premium during their Summer fundraising campaign. The PBS national website then posted the re-broadcast which quickly became one of their "Most Watched" as well as "Most Shared" programs on PBS.
We are approaching the 11th year since that fateful day in September and more and more people are becoming aware that they haven't gotten the whole story on 9/11. Over 1700 architects & engineers are leading the way at AE911TRUTH, with dozens of additional professionals joining them in this documentary to put their careers on the line in their demand for a new independent investigation. High-rise architects, structural engineers, scientists, physicists, chemists, scholars, educators, firefighters, forensic fire engineers, demolition experts and others have put together a ground-breaking scientific assessment of the events at the World Trade Center. The sudden, complete collapse of the third skyscraper on 9/11, WTC Building 7 at 5:20pm, is now being seen around the world as "the smoking gun" which disproves the official story about 9/11. These experts also introduce additional "overwhelming evidence" for a controlled demolition hypothesis at WTC which is disturbing to say the least. The film does not speculate, and empathizes with viewers by also presenting the most popular segment of the film, which introduces the professional perspectives of eight psychologists who explain some of the reasons why it is so hard for people to face the scientific evidence. This is the most scientific and compelling 9/11 documentary film to date, containing vital information that demands action from all of us. We can no longer afford to ignore the World Trade Center evidence.

Please support the organization which made this program possible by purchasing the DVD or making a tax-deductible donation at http://www.AE911TRUTH.org.

Shortened 58.5 minute version for promotional use. Please support AE911Truth by purchasing the DVD, downloading it or watching it now at http://www.911ExpertsSpeakOut.org
If you are truly impressed with the vital nature of our work we encourage you to make your tax deductible donation (We are a 501c3 non-profit organization) at http://www.AE911Truth.org

How Divorce Can Impact Development | Child Development

Divorce can have a great impact on a child's development. Divorce can be very difficult on a child who's used to their routine, who is used to two parents being at home all the time to now being in a split situation or being kind of moved from one home to another and then being able to co-parent it presents its own challenges as an adult.

Divorce could also present some emotional difficulties for the child. They could feel that maybe they've done something wrong. They could feel a little bit insecure or unsure or what's going on. And feel a little inadequate. That's kind of natural.

The important thing to do is anytime there's any kind of life changing event a child will feel that. A child feels everything. They can sense the energy from the adults in the room. They can sense the energy from the animals in the room. They're very, very perceptive.

What's really important is to provide them with an outlet. Provide them with counseling by a licensed psychologist who can work with the child on how they're feeling as well as perhaps family therapy. This of course should be discussed with your child's pediatrician and with licensed clinicians to better point you in the right direction.

It's also important that anytime a child is going through a difficult time such as a divorce to provide opportunities of fun and play and to make things as happy as you can. So to take them on a trip, take them on an adventure, to talk to them, to make them feel loved and warm is also great. Remember to continue to support your child and their emotional well-being and to seek professional assistance in providing that emotional support for your child when there's a life changing event such as a divorce.

Nutrition has a great impact on childhood development. Just like as adults what we eat can affect our ability to perform our tasks at home and at work, a child has the same challenges every day. Exposing your child to a variety of different foods and textures is also really important. So you want them to try all types of things. Of course, you want them to eat vegetables. You want them to eat their fruit. You want them to eat lean cuts of meat like chicken.

You also want them to try new foods. So any time you go out to eat at a restaurant have them try something new too. This will actually develop their palate more and have them be less picky and it will also help you because wherever you go they'll be able to try new things. You should also make sure that your child is getting enough dairy, cheese, yogurt is great also and to limit the amount of sugar they take. Really because if you've ever given a child a lot of sugar you'll see for yourself the effect that it has on them and you might see for yourself that maybe that was a little too much sugar.

So limit the sugar. Everything in moderation. And make sure that your child is gaining weight at the rate that they should be by checking in with your pediatrician and voicing any concerns that you have with them at all times.

Documentary BBC - A History of Syria (2013)

Robin Barnwell, who directed and produced 'A History of Syria with Dan Snow', explains the challenges of filiming amid the conflict, and describes the spirit of the Syrian people he met.

The Syrian Airlines jet performed an alarming dive on its nighttime approach into Damascus airport in an attempt to avoid any hostile fire. The exterior lights on the aircraft were switched off to make it less visible to any rebel fighters attempting to shoot the plane down. Syrian army artillery rounds were flying through the air, thudding into residential suburbs not far from the airport.

Once we'd landed, I saw little of the Syria I knew from my previous two visits. The airport that had been the gateway to the country for tourists was quiet. The road to the centre of Damascus was eerily empty. Our driver drove as fast as he could, speeding us past signs welcoming us to Syria on a road that regularly comes under attack or is caught in the crossfire in a conflict that has now cost more than 70,000 lives and displaced millions. How, I wondered, had Syria and its people, whom I had such warm memories of, reached such a state?

Like many people, I first travelled to Syria in 1995 to immerse myself in the country's extraordinary and varied history. Now I was in Damascus to direct and film a documentary that would explain how history had helped shape and influence the appalling civil war that is tearing Syria and its different communities apart. It was a strange relief to be in Damascus, as visas for journalists and filmmakers, issued by the Syrian government, are difficult to obtain.

The programme's Middle East producer had doggedly convinced a suspicious Syrian Ministry of Information that now was the right time to make a history of Syria after weeks of officials telling us to come back after the 'current, temporary problems' were over. We persisted in pushing for access because history can help explain the current violence in Syria; violence that has become increasingly incomprehensible for audiences of news programmes around the world.

I was surprised by my own ignorance about the subject. It was only after weeks of reading and meetings with experts before actually arriving in Syria did I map the historical connections, linking present day events with the past. How though, were we to go about making a documentary in a country consumed by civil war?

Permission to film almost anything and anyone was frustratingly difficult to obtain. The official from the Syrian Ministry of Information assigned to take us around kept apologizing for the numerous new restrictions that had been put in place. Getting access to the beautiful Old City of Damascus now involved negotiating a way through sandbagged checkpoints past soldiers who were suspicious of foreigners and visibly on edge.

Surreally, though, Syrians were rushing around going about their daily business, seemingly ignoring the near constant sound of gunfire and fighter jets which screeched overhead to bomb targets in the suburbs. An even stranger sense of normality prevailed in other locations we filmed, particularly in Syria's coastal city Lattakia, where no fighting was taking place. We mingled with couples watching the sunset over the Mediterranean and for a moment one was back in pre-conflict Syria. But the effects of war were never far away.

Insomnia is a common complaint amongst shift workers. The problem in shift work is that you're trying to sleep against your body's own [inaudible 00:13] rhythm you're, trying to sleep in the daytime when there is a lights and activities surrounding you, preventing you from falling asleep and staying asleep. The first thing that you want to do is, get blackout shades, to help diminish light exposure, in your bedroom. Diminishing light exposure to create your body's melatonin, which help with sleep onset. Now, another way to help this is by taking supplemental melatonin.

In general, melatonin levels are decreased in this is shift workers. So taking supplemental melatonin will help you augment that process of sleep onset. Now, certain medications can also combat the process of insomnia in shift workers. Such as weight promoting agents called new vigil or pro vigil. They will help you stay awake in the hours that you are supposed to be working as well as light exposure in those hours that you're so supposed to be working. Another problem in shift workers is that you need to take care of life errands. You know, you need to go to the bank, you need to take care of your kids, all of these occur during the daytime hours that you are supposed to be sleeping.

So, this will decrease the amount of sleep then you can get during the day. There are multiple methods to help improve your sleep during the daytime, when you are a shift worker and these you can try on your own but it they are not helping, you might want to consult with your doctor, to see if any other use of medication is needed to help you sleep better, during the day time hours.
